On Saturday, Feb 1st, 2020, Ashur and I are hitting the road. I have no concrete plan and no van "build" has happened. But I have a cot, a cooler, a Yetti Gold Zero battery, and a Luggable Loo. What more can a girl ask for, right? I've also purchased a new top-entry litter box for Ashur. I'm hoping it will reduce the mess and eliminate any possible spills along the way. Unfortunately, it takes up a huge amount of space - frustrating to say the least! Big cats need big boxes... Ugh.
Anyway, the plan is to end up in Nashville sometime in mid-February to have my son help me construct an expanding slat bed with storage underneath. Because the Pacifica's floor isn't level, the REI cot I'm using has been propped up nearly 6 inches on one end. Needless to say, it's a 3AM accident waiting to happen.
My first destination will likely be Williamsburg, VA. Slightly warmer than where I am now and I have several friends there. I'm also familiar with the area and feel confident with where to sleep, hike, etc. I'm also confident there are pet friendly hotels in the area, should the need arise.
